About this listing

About this space
Our beautiful listed cottage is in the heart of the historic town of Wigtown. Cosy & welcoming but with plenty of room, the cottage is over 3 floors with good size bedrooms.
The fully equipped kitchen leads to a large conservatory looking to the patio area & garden beyond, the perfect place for morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening.
A fantastic base for exploring the many sights & activities around the region, it is ideal for walkers & cyclists or those who simply love to relax!

The space
Located in the heart of Wigtown (Scotland’s book town), the cottage has been sympathetically renovated to expose the original stone construction. Nestled within a row of similar cottages, the cottage is deceptively large inside.

On the ground floor, you will discover the cosy sitting room, ideal for family games on the Wii or relaxing in front of the tv in the evening.

There is a ground floor cloakroom for convenience and a charming fully equipped kitchen with dining table ideal for family meals, a quick lunch or starting the day with a relaxed breakfast.

Leading on from the kitchen is a large conservatory, the perfect suntrap, it is a lovely area to relax and unwind with a book or to recharge after a day walking or cycling. The conservatory looks onto the patio area with outdoor seating, beyond is a large well maintained garden.

On the first floor you will find the king and double bedrooms, both spacious with plenty of storage, the comfortable beds will ensure a great night sleep.

The first floor main bathroom is light and modern with fantastic shower.

On the second floor is a large attic bedroom with 2 single beds.

The cottage is both charming and spacious and will quickly become your home from home.

Furry friends are welcome at an additional cost of £30 per pet, this is to cover the cost of additional cleaning.

Guest access
You will have sole use of the entire property and gardens.

There is ample free on-street parking directly outside the property.

Hi, I’m Charlotte, the Managing Director for Pass the Keys® Dumfries & Galloway. I’m a born and bred ‘Doonhamer’ and have a lifelong passion for not only Scotland as a whole, but for my beautiful home region of Dumfries & Galloway. I have travelled the world, working at the very top end of customer service providing travel assistance to the world’s Royal families, diplomats, ministers and celebrities. I then joined the ‘luxury travel market’ project, managing private travel arrangements for both individual VIPs and multinational companies. The next natural step for me was to break into the short term let market, the experience and professionalism that Pass The Keys has to offer made it an easy and obvious choice to become a PTK franchisee.

Deceptively spacious cottage in heart of Wigtown. Beautiful terraced cottage in heart of Scotlands Booktown with everything considered for a very comfortable stay. Self catering 3 bedroom property with bright and airy summer house and lawned garden with trees to the back of the house. Bath and shower and all mod cons. Highly recommend if you like Wigtown and nearby attractions. ... Read full reviewClose

Excellent property in a charming village of stone built cottages in a paradise for book-lovers. The poroperty looks deceptive from the outside but inside is larger than expected, clean and tidy. Everything was fine - only really trivial points like there weren't enough clothes hangers. ...
