This beautiful terraced home in York has been newly refurbished with nothing but comfort and style in mind. Situated in a quiet, peaceful are of York, guests will be well placed to explore everything this magnificent city has to offer. Only a short walk from the train station, and the City Centre, this gem of a property provides the perfect base for your next York adventure.
The space
Located in the wonderful neighbourhood of Holgate, this lovely property has recently undergone a complete renovation, to a very high standard. York city centre is a stone’s throw, and can be reached in 20 minutes on foot.
Our beautifully renovated period property dates back to the 1890s and features two floors of comfortable living space. With two double bedrooms and a sofa bed, the property can accommodate up to six people. Families are welcome, and we provide a high chair and travel cot for your convenience. (Please message us for ahead of your stay if you wish to use the sofa bed or the family facilities). Free street parking is available at the property and there is 24/7 paid parking close by for additional cars.
Linens and towels are changed with fresh laundered materials each stay. Remote self check-in allows flexibility for late arrivals and he is available 24/7 if you need assistance during your stay.
GROUND FLOOR:
On entering the property guests will be greeted by the spacious living room/diner, which has been stylishly finished with comfort in mind. Here guests can enjoy a smart TV, electric fireplace and large comfortable sofa. The front living room is a nice quiet space to relax after a busy day out in the city. The double sized sofa bed is situated in this room too. (Please request this at point of booking). The beautiful dining table can seat up to 4, with the provision of an additional two folding chairs for guests.
Continuing through the property, the galley kitchen is located to the rear of the house and has been equipped with an all new oven, hob, washer/dryer, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster and kettle. Guests will also find children’s dinnerware here making this home ideal for families.
We also offer a small complimentary kitchen pack consisting of dishwasher tabs, washing machine tabs, fairy liquid and sponges.
A door behind the kitchen leads to the newly fitted family bathroom which boasts a shower over bath, sink and toilet.
FIRST FLOOR:
A set of stairs leads you to the first floor. Please note, as this is a terraced house, the stairs are quite steep. Upstairs are two bedrooms.
The master bedroom has a king size bed, night tables, lamps and plenty of storage space for guests. In the second, double bedroom guests will find the same. For guests bringing small children, we can also offer a travel cot and highchair, stored in this bedroom. If you wish to make use of this, please make sure to bring your own cot bedding.
There will be some complimentary tea/coffee waiting for you which I am sure will be useful for those arriving after a long journey!
Fresh white bedding and towels are provided (hand towel and bath towel per person), as well as miniature travel sized bottles of shampoo, shower gel and soap.
Other items included are a washing-up pack, toilet roll and kitchen roll, which will last a couple of days. If wish to purchase more for your stay there is a convenience store on Garfield Terrace as well as a small Sainsbury’s at the railway station.
Managed by a professional co-host of Airbnb, this property is professionally cleaned and the linen/ towels are removed from the property after each stay and replaced with freshly laundered supplies. The property is set up to offer remote access with easy self check in and we also offer 24/7 guest support should you need any assistance during your stay
Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire house.
Other things to note
FREE STREET PARKING:
Parking is available for 1 car at the front of the property on the opposite side of the street to the front door. Please note that this is on street parking and is on a first come first served basis. There is also free street parking on the neighbouring Carlisle Street. If both of these are full there is the paid, 24/7 Carlisle Street Park located just around the corner from the property.
CHECK IN / CHECK OUT
Check-in time is after 4pm and check-out time is before 10am. A £30 charge will be requested if guests check themselves in early without permission or if guests do not check out on time as this will cause disruption to my cleaner’s schedule.
Please note that you will be charged £100 for lost keys, so please be careful with them.
TRAVEL COT
There is a travel cot and high chair available for guests to use at the property. These are stored in the boiler cupboard in the second bedroom.

The online verification requires a government-issued photo ID and a credit or debit card. During this process, you may choose between a refundable GBP 500 deposit (plus GBP 10 transaction fee currency equivalent) or purchase a non-refundable damage waiver of GBP 40 (currency equivalent) to cover potential damages during your stay.
Once the verification process is successfully completed, check-in information will be provided. If you opted in for a deposit, this will be refunded via credit/debit card after your stay, subject to an inspection of the property.
