The Cottage

Built from local sandstone, the cottage is over 200 years old and is perfectly situated in a small, quiet side street a short stroll from all the independent shops, cafes and restaurants in Moffat.

On arrival, step into a welcoming entrance hall with space for coats, shoes, and muddy boots.

The sitting room is beautifully decorated in warm, inviting colours with comfy sofas and chairs, a smart TV, and a relaxed atmosphere—perfect for unwinding after exploring Moffat and the surrounding countryside.

The modern, fully equipped kitchen makes preparing anything from a quick breakfast to a full evening meal a pleasure. Enjoy meals at the dining table for four, or take a moment in the cosy coffee corner with two comfortable chairs.

The online verification requires a government-issued photo ID and a credit or debit card. During this process, you may choose between a refundable GBP 500 deposit (plus GBP 10 transaction fee currency equivalent) or purchase a non-refundable damage waiver of GBP 40 (currency equivalent) to cover potential damages during your stay.

Once the verification process is successfully completed, check-in information will be provided. If you opted in for a deposit, this will be refunded via credit/debit card after your stay, subject to an inspection of the property.
