Not much tbh, it was ok for us but nothing fancy.. There is quite a detailed review someone wrote before our visit, read it and thought that’s pretty constructive feedback and said hopefully owner has taken that into consideration, but no nothing that was suggested had been changed. I sent a message with some maintenance work that needed doing and feedback whilst we were actually staying and heard nothing back. The house was bare, I stayed in the room with the balcony. No furniture on the balcony so that was pretty useless. The room was big but consisted of a bed a bedside table and a very old wobbly small wardrobe, there was ample space for a desk, travelling with work that would have been very useful, I had to move a chair up from the kitchen to have something to lay out my clothes for the following day, and the curtain rail fell down the I closed the curtains. Kitchen wasn’t well equipped if you want to cook, old pans not much utensils. Plenty of plate though. No garden chairs so that was pretty useless as well. Tbh if I stayed there for a holiday I would been quite disappointed… it felt like they don’t want to invest in the property but a little goes a long way. There is nothing wrong with the size of the house or the layout, it just misses the final touches to make it great. ... Read full reviewClose

92 Northumberland Street. We liked the space. It was very spacious for 4 people. The beds, bedding, and towels were very comfortable and clean. There was a good boiler for heating and hot water. The tv system worked well with guest's own Netflix. The showers are very effective.. Overall, it wasn't clean enough. For the carpets, this has presumably to do with the hoover, a Henry. Doesn't suck up enough. The kitchen floor was very sticky and needs a deep clean! The kitchen worktop is broken, near the boiler, and possibly a health hazard, as it can not be cleaned adequately. The kitchen table still had crumbs from previous guests on the lower ledge. There should be a spare cleaning cloth and tea towels available. In the cupboards were grubby glasses and leftover groceries like sugar, but also a nearly empty coffee jar with dried on coffee. The freezer had lots of old ice in it, which I wouldn't use considering the state of cleanliness of the kitchen. The kitchen bin has no lid. The living room table was grubby, and the tv sound wasn't great. It might be worth checking it out. There was dust also in hidden places in the house, such as around wall sockets and hairs on shower screens. The ensuite shower doesn't drain fast enough (probably blocked), and there is black mould on the ceiling!!. There is nowhere to hang a towel in the ensuite shower room or bedroom. The radiators can't all be controlled as some thermostats are missing. There isn't a control stick on every blind to open and close it. The cleaning cupboard has a broken handle. The downstairs WC has a screw sticking out to attach a missing loo roll holder, and the flushing system is partly broken. Nobody seems to take care of the rubbish bins outside. They are mostly full to overflowing point, and separating rubbish does not seem to work despite the different coloured bins. The view into the garden is not brilliant, as the garden doesn't look cared for. Somewhere near the entrance door, the house would benefit from some coat hooks. Please understand that we are not trying to be picky. This is constructive criticism. ... Read full reviewClose
