About this listing

About this space
Welcome to my charming two-bedroom townhouse in the central neighborhood of Fishergate, York. Just a stone’s throw away from the famous Bar Walls and a short 5-minute walk to the city center, this property is perfect for couples, families, or friends looking to explore the city.

Recently installed with a brand-new kitchen, bathroom, and area rugs, this property offers nothing but comfort. It can accommodate up to 4 people, making it ideal for small groups.

The space
GROUND FLOOR:

The entrance hall leads to the living dining room, and through to the kitchen at the rear. In the living room is a large cosy corner sofa, a 43-inch 4k Smart TV, and a dining table with seating for up to four people.

The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge freezer, washing machine, microwave, kettle, and toaster.

The kitchen opens onto a small courtyard. As a bonus, there is an outdoor table and two chairs for warmer weather.

FIRST FLOOR:

Two bedrooms and a bathroom are located on the first floor.
Bedroom 1 has a double bed, a wardrobe, and drawer space.
Bedroom 2 has two single beds, a wardrobe, and drawer space. All beds are freshly made with crisp white linen. Plenty of room for families and smaller groups to explore York

The house bathroom was newly refurbished in 2021. It consists of a shower over the bath, toilet, and wash basin. Each guest will receive a bath towel and a hand towel.

There will be some complimentary tea and coffee, as well as miniature travel-sized bottles of shampoo, shower gel, and soap. Other items included are a washing-up pack, toilet roll, and kitchen roll which will last a couple of days. If wish to purchase more for your stay there is a Co-operative supermarket only 5 minutes walk away.

I support responsible travel within the current restrictions, and therefore my property is available for booking where the purpose of your stay falls within the current guidelines set out by the local Government.

The property is set up to offer remote access with easy self-check and we also offer 24/7 guest support should you need any assistance during your stay.

Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire property. There is a small yard and parking for one small/medium car. I am afraid the estate rules will only allow cars (no vans, trailers, camper vans, or motor homes.)

Other things to note
CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT
Check-in time is after 4 pm and check-out time is before 10 am. A £30 charge will be requested if guests check themselves in early without permission or if guests do not check out on time as this will disrupt my cleaner’s schedule.
Please note that you will be charged £100 for lost keys, so please be careful with them.

PARKING RESTRICTIONS:
There is a designated parking space for one car. I am afraid the estate rules will only allow cars (no vans, trailers, camper vans, or motor homes.)
Fines will be in place if the parking permit is not displayed on your dashboard.

TRAVEL COT
A travel cot and mattress are available to borrow upon request, subject to availability, and at an additional cost of £20. Please ensure your message beforehand so that I can arrange for the installation. Guests will need to bring their own cot bedding, including a bottom sheet. (I am afraid highchair requests cannot be met).

Pass the Keys® provides a hotel standard of service for short-let properties. Each property is professionally maintained and cleaned. We guarantee professionally cleaned linens and toiletries. We also provide 24/7 guest support and local personal service before and during your stay.

The local community-based team of Pass the Keys® personally inspects each home to certify they have met Pass the Keys®’s Property Readiness Standard.

Would benefit from an improved central heating system.. Handy parking, great location close to the city centre, comfortable beds.. Heating is hard to control, the central heating system is poor as there is only one room stat covering the whole house and no thermostatic valves on each radiator. Because the front door opens directly into the lounge then downstairs is very cold, if you turn the heating up to keep downstairs comfortable then upstairs becomes unbearably hot. If upstairs is comfortable then downstairs will be freezing. The kitchen is freezing regardless. There is an electric fire in the lounge that was needed the whole time. ... Read full reviewClose

Nice stay. Close to center. Nice area. Nice house. Close to Coop. Good for up to 4 people.. For a January stay Cold kitchen floor, not insulated. Heating controls could be better; Can't turn down rooms radiators so the two bedrooms can get too hot if you need the heating for the sitting room for the evening. They desperately need thermostatic valves TRVs. ... Read full reviewClose

The home was lovely and cosy...the beds comfortable and location excellent..we only used the home as a place to sleep as we ate out...there was everything you might need. Just like being at home..washing things for pots and machine. Towels..bedding ..everything... The heating in the bedrooms the first night got too warm ...we turned it down for the 2nd and woke to no central heating ...we switched on the fire downstairs and this was enough as we left at 9am. ... Location good but tweets to the property needed.. Location of the property was very good. The size of the property was perfect for a group of 4.. There are no mirrors downstairs. The downstairs was cold as heating set at 18 degrees and front door is in the lounge and you could feel a draught. Kitchen was freezing. We had to have throws on us when we sat on the sofa. You have to turn a switch on for shower but still the pressure of water is very slow. Not recommended to use if you have long hair it would take ages to wash it. ... Read full reviewClose
