About this listing

Come stay in my charming and luxurious 1 bed 1 bath flat overlooking the best backyard that money can buy: Highbury Fields, a gorgeous green space where young and trendy Londoners hang out.
Located in a Georgian period building (Grade II listed), the flat retains period features such as the fireplace and high ceilings, and also has all the modern conveniences such as a large smart TV, a modern high-spec kitchen, underfloor heating, superfast wifi, a large and comfy bed and a private balcony.

Location:
Location is one of the best things about my flat. Located in a highly-desirable neighbourhood, the front door opens directly onto Highbury fields, a beautiful broad green space at nearly 12 hectares or 29 acres, bordered by handsome residences, 11 tarmac tennis courts, great children’s playground and leisure facilities including a swimming pool. The flat is a mere 2 minute walk from Highbury & Islington station, a 5 minute walk from Emirates stadium, and just a 5 minute walk from Upper Street – the social and cultural heart of Islington. Central London and all the traditional tourist sites are easily accessible, many of them just 20 minutes from the front door.

Management and Hygiene:
My flat is professionally managed for me by Pass the Keys, the leading short-let management company, who are available 24/7 for any queries you may have. They use professional cleaners to completely sanitise my flat between guests in accordance with the highest standards, and provide hotel-quality linen, toiletries and two soft fluffy towels for each guest.

Living room:
If you like people-watching, you may want to spend the entire day in the living room. That’s because the large sash windows look directly out onto Highbury Fields, where the trendiest Londoners have spent their sunny afternoons for the last 200 years. The windows also let in plenty of morning sunshine, while the privacy blinds which rise from the bottom up allow the sun in while maintaining privacy.

The original fireplace and large ceilings of the Georgian building provide quintessential traditional London style, while the large flat screen smart HD TV with access to Netflix and Amazon allow you to catch up on your favourite shows. High speed fibre wifi and a large dining table that doubles as a work station provide a comfortable place to work from home.

Bedroom:
The large, plush king-size double bed will ensure that you comfortably catch all your nightly sleep and wake up fresh and ready to seize the day. The large sash windows look out onto the private back garden. If you decide you want to stay in this luxurious flat for a longer period of time, you’ll find ample storage in the built-in closets. You can use the Alexa speakers to wake you up gently to your favourite music or inform you of the day’s weather without getting out of bed. Or you can have Alexa turn up the temperature from your bed through the Nest thermostat.

Private balcony:
The flat has a private balcony around the back which overlooks the house’s private garden and has a beautiful view of the Highbury’s most desirable terraces, the oldest dating from the 1770s, the rest Victorian, that are reminiscent of Downton Abbey-era England. You can enjoy your morning English Breakfast tea with fresh locally-baked croissants while gazing at this serene scene.

Bathroom:
Small but mighty, this bathroom is a miraculous good use of space. Underfloor heating and heated mirrors that are always mist-free are the height of luxury. You’ll also be surprised at the amount of storage space available. The shower and bathtub have a combi heater that provides endless hot water and great water pressure.

Kitchen:
Although over 75 of London’s best restaurants, pubs, theatres and comedy venues are located inside a 15-minute walk of my flat, with plenty of delivery options, if you do decide to stay in and cook, you can take advantage of my high-spec kitchen with Smeg appliances which has every kitchen tool you can want to cook up delightful culinary treats.

Parking:
Parking is available! This is especially welcome to visitors to Emirates Stadium which is a short 5 mins walk away. Please check out the “getting around” section below.

You are warmly welcome to come stay in my flat for an unforgettable London experience. You may get used to living in such luxury that you may never want to leave!
