The online verification requires a government-issued photo ID and a credit or debit card. During this process, you may choose between a refundable GBP 500 deposit (plus GBP 10 transaction fee currency equivalent) or purchase a non-refundable damage waiver of GBP 40 (currency equivalent) to cover potential damages during your stay.
Once the verification process is successfully completed, check-in information will be provided. If you opted in for a deposit, this will be refunded via credit/debit card after your stay, subject to an inspection of the property.
I am Gordon, Franchise Owner of Pass the Keys® Rye & Camber, an area nestled on the beautiful coastal border of Kent and East Sussex. I live locally with my young family and we love all that the region has to offer. Educated in Belgium, the UK and North Carolina, my career focused on 5-star hospitality and the media (often both together!). I was a TV drama producer for many years, owned a radio station in Mallorca and, until moving to Rye, ran a successful ‘private members’ club’ in the heart of Soho in London. Along the way, I have worked at some of the most prestigious hotels and restaurants in the UK and overseas, developing the practical skills to get the job done, whilst honing an exacting eye for what guests really want. Our historically strong short-let market is currently booming and I’m excited to be working with landlords, helping to ensure that only the highest level of service is provided for their guests.

TANYA READ 23/12/2024We stayed here over Christmas, upon arrival the house was spotlessly clean inside and the layout was great, although very deceiving from the photos. I was surprised to find an extra kitchen, which was a great help when cooking Christmas dinner, the kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed and the hosts even left milk, wine and orange juice in the fridge which I felt was a lovely touch. There was a couple of niggles that I found as follows: Heating - there didn't seem to be a happy medium, it either felt chilly or to hot, and we found the system hard to control. To the point on Christmas day we had no heating and had to call Gordon the area manager out to sort the problem, which was an oil related issue which he soon fixed. (what a lovely man!) We did use the log burner which made it feel really cosy. Shower room - The pressure in the shower stopped on day 2, it seemed to be gushing out steam and then no pressure, so we couldn't use this shower and with a 96 year old who was unable to get in the bath, this was a bit of an issue. Back doors - there was a constant draft coming through the doors and you can see the crack where the draft was coming from at the top of the doors, this needs looking at. We did open them to see if we could rectify the issue but they have dropped. I don't feel the pictures on the website do this house any justice, it is a lovely property and would defiantly stay again but would choose summer over winter when you can use the outdoor facilities. ... Terry Wills 25/01/2025A lovely place to enjoy the south coast. This is a really lovely bungalow that is, in reality, far bigger than it looks in the photos. Each of the bedrooms was a very generous size, with all of the other spaces also large. We stayed over christmas and the big kitchen and dining areas was perfect, with lots of cooking items, plates etc provided so you really don't need to bring anything - even with 6 people. The location is great, overlooking the sea from the very nice snug space at the front of the house, with no other houses behind. Perfect for walks to the lighthouse or to the sea. Easy parking on site for 3 cars. The house is nicely decorated with the very thoughtful addition of a Christmas Tree when we visited. Dealing with the agent that managed our stay could not have been easier, with lots of communication, even on Christmas eve when we had a question. We will come back for sure, we loved our stay! Very highly recommended if you want somewhere to escape and relax or get together with friends.. There's a few small things that others have mentioned that need some attention. One of the bathroom doors does not lock, with the door just swinging open on it's own. The instructions for the heating need updating as there is now a remote thermostat. The outside light does not work, which can make it a bit tricky in the dark esp in the winter The key safe is a bit rusted up (understandable being right on the coast), but it does make it difficult to open it. Meg Neilan 25/10/2024Fabulous place for our long weekend away with family. We wanted a chilled weekend in a home-from-home and it was exactly. Love LOVED the house, it was so spacious and clean and tastefully done. We loved the kitchen and also the front room, but it was all lovely.. We loved everything. We had thought from the photos that the beach was closer to the front of the house but it’s gravelly terrain. There is a beach further out which was nice to walk to and the pub at the end of the road looked a little hidden gem, but it was absolutely stacked out so we couldn’t get in. No fault of the house or pub though, we just recommend people to book ahead if wanting to go. ... Read full reviewClose

Peter Besuch 11/09/2024Das Haus am Meer war groß, geräumig, gepflegt mit sehr guter Ausstattung. Kontakt zum Vermieter sehr gut. Wir haben uns in dem Haus sehr wohl gefühlt.. Die Lage und die Umgebung könnten in der Amzeige ausführlicher beschrieben werden können. Die Häuser stehen sehr dicht nebeneinander an der Straße, die überquert werden muss, um an den Kiesstrand zu kommen. Direkt hinter dem Grundstück fährt tagsüber eine kleine Dampfeisenbahn. ... Facilities and space at the bungalow are very good, clean and modern with everything you need. Really liked the front seating area where you can look out to sea..
