Our beautiful stone built cottage dates back to 1790 and is in a wonderful position overlooking the Harbour with spectacular sea views to front and rear.
The cottage has been tastefully refurbished with modern updates whilst retaining charming original features including beamed ceilings and open fireplaces.
Offering beautiful coastal and country walks with only a 4 minute walk from the local Bar and Restaurant.
Enter the village of the Isle of Whithorn and you will immediately appreciate the beautiful views the cottage has to offer!
Enter the cottage to be greeted by a cosy, welcoming and spacious cottage with charming sitting room boasting many original features, modern light and bright kitchen and breakfast area, separate dining room and 3 good sized bedrooms.
GROUND FLOOR
SITTING ROOM:- With it’s original open fire and comfortable sofas, the sitting room is the perfect place to relax either in summer with the beautiful views to the sea or next to a cosy fire in the winter. With a Smart TV you can catch up on your favourite shows or there is plenty of room for family games night!
KITCHEN:- Beautifully renovated and presented with a modern, light and bright feel, the kitchen is fully equipped with all you could need to prepare everything from a light breakfast to full evening meal.
The breakfast table (seating 4) is located next to the French doors opening to the garden and is the perfect spot for morning coffee especially during warmer months with a calming cool breeze drifting in from the garden.
DINING ROOM:- With the separate dining room (seating 6) it is a pleasure to enjoy a full evening meal in a more formal setting and is a great place for family/friends to gather.
BEDROOM 1:- With a super comfortable double bed and plenty of storage space for personal belongings the cherry on top with Bedroom 1 is the French doors to the garden. Throw open the doors on a beautiful morning to welcome the sounds of nature for a truly ‘good for the soul’ feeling!
BATHROOM:- Beautifully decorated with floor to ceiling tiles, the downstairs bathroom has and wonderfully spacious walk in shower and is the ideal spot to freshen up.
FIRST FLOOR
BEDROOM 2:- Again with a comfortable double bed this spacious room has a separate area for clothes and personal belongings and a charming dressing table for your morning routine! With outstanding views across the harbour to the sea, waking up here really has a that feel good factor!
BEDROOM 2:- Conveniently furnished with twin single beds, again a spacious room with plenty of storage and those wonderful sea views.
BATHROOM:- With a full size bath the upstairs bathroom is the perfect spot for a relaxing soak after a busy day exploring all our beautiful region has to offer, also with an over bath shower it caters to everyone.
OUTSIDE SPACE
The French doors from the Kitchen area and Bedroom 1 open to a lovely patio area with seating, in addition this extends to a lawned garden with mature flower beds and additional outdoor seating, enjoy an evening glass of wine or morning coffee on the patio to start or end your day on the perfect note!
THE AREA
Surrounded by the beautiful views of the Isle of Whithorn the cottage is the perfect base for exploring Wigtownshire and Dumfries & Galloway as a whole.
With wonderful local coastal and countryside walks and perfect routes for cyclists it is ideal for those who love the outdoor life!
The Steam Packet Inn is just a short stroll from the cottage and has wonderful reviews for not only it’s food but also location and atmosphere.
Hop in the car and explore surrounding towns and villages such as picturesque Whithorn and Scotland’s Book Town Wigtown.
Furry friends are welcome for a small additional cleaning fee!

Guests will have access to the entire property (except for the locked attic area) and private garden.

IMPORTANT: On behalf of our host at Pass the Keys, we require guest verification facilitated by Truvi (Previously called Superhog). Upon confirming your booking, Truvi will contact the lead booker via a secure link, providing detailed instructions for the verification process.
The online verification requires a government-issued photo ID and a credit or debit card. During this process, you may choose between a refundable GBP 500 deposit (plus GBP 10 transaction fee currency equivalent) or purchase a non-refundable damage waiver of GBP 40 (currency equivalent) to cover potential damages during your stay.
Once the verification process is successfully completed, check-in information will be provided. If you opted in for a deposit, this will be refunded via credit/debit card after your stay, subject to an inspection of the property.

I’m a born and bred ‘Doonhamer’ and have a lifelong passion for not only Scotland as a whole, but for my beautiful home region of Dumfries & Galloway. I have travelled the world, working at the very top end of customer service providing travel assistance to the world’s Royal families, diplomats, ministers and celebrities. I then joined the ‘luxury travel market’ project, managing private travel arrangements for both individual VIPs and multinational companies.
