The space
The house has retained many of its original features including original cornicing, high ceilings, a beautiful arched window that you’re met with as you enter and a spectacular bay windows in the living room.

In the recently refurbished kitchen, decked with gorgeous sage herringbone tiles and modern fittings, we hope you’ll enjoy some little luxuries including a great coffee from the Sage Barrista bean-to-cup coffee machine, as well as a sparkling water maker, American style fridge-freezer with built in ice maker and a cheeky air-fryer too.

The large living room is wonderfully homely and comfy, with its marble fire place, dried flower garland and deep feather couches that you really do sink into after a day out exploring. We are lucky to be surrounded by light and greenery once the summer months roll in. Enjoy sitting in the bay window and admiring the stunning tree right outside our window. We have sometimes heard owls in there at night! There’s an eclectic selection of books to peruse and some boardgames too.

The downstairs bathroom has original wood panels salvaged from an old ship, and a bath big enough for two! There’s an overhead shower here or head upstairs for another well appointed bathroom.

On the first level there are three bedrooms; the panelled master bedroom with a very comfy super king bed and Tala hanging lights overlooks several of the local gardens. Up the half stairs you’ll find a sunny bedroom with a day bed on the right opposite the kitchen, thoughtfully decorated with hand painted murals including a local artist who doodled the giraffes and acacia trees directly onto the wall! A further bedroom with two bunk beds can be found next to the lower bathroom. There is a selection of children’s toys and books to play with in here, and another cool bear themed mural to enjoy. The sunshine is lovely in here during the late afternoon.

Sandwiched between the lounge and the bedroom, with adjoining doors allowing for circular access, is a great little study with desk and monitor allowing for remote working. We have fibre to the premises broadband and wired access into this room also if required.

Upstairs you’ll find a huge converted attic with another super king bed and views out to the Campsies. There’s another bath and the main shower up here, plus an L shaped pull out couch should you need it. You can’t beat a lazy morning up here, particularly when the rain patters on the sky lights, enjoying the view and a good book.

Our lovely piano is away on holiday from May – August 26 and will not be available for use.

The online verification requires a government-issued photo ID and a credit or debit card. During this process, you may choose between a refundable GBP 500 deposit (plus GBP 10 transaction fee currency equivalent) or purchase a non-refundable damage waiver of GBP 40 (currency equivalent) to cover potential damages during your stay.

Once the verification process is successfully completed, check-in information will be provided. If you opted in for a deposit, this will be refunded via credit/debit card after your stay, subject to an inspection of the property.
