About this listing
A cute 2 bedroom Victorian property only 5 minutes to the heart of York, home to Europe’s largest gothic cathedral. Located on a row of terraced houses built for the factory workers at the famous Rowntrees chocolate factory (now Nestle). A high chair and travel cot are included for families with a baby / young child.
My property is available for booking where the purpose of your stay falls within the current guidelines set out by the local Government.
The property is professionally cleaned and the linen/ towels are replaced with freshly laundered supplies between each stay. We offer remote access with easy self check-in and 24/7 guest support should you need any assistance during your stay.
Downstairs you can find a cosy living room with gas fireplace, which is open plan into the dining area. It was newly decorated, and new carpets were installed in 2022. The internet has been upgraded to Virgin Media fibre broadband with speeds of up to 100 Mbps! The kitchen is kitted out with a double oven, hob, washing machine and microwave. Please note that the downstairs bathroom has a generous size shower but no bath.
Upstairs are two double bedrooms. The master bedroom is a calm blue and features antique style furniture and the rear bedroom features a stylish Marilyn Monroe monochrome theme! Both have plenty of storage space for guests.
Outside you will find our pretty little courtyard where guests can enjoy the morning and afternoon sun!
Guests will have access to the entire house..
CHECK IN / CHECK OUT
Check-in time is after 3pm and check-out time is before 11am.
Please note that you will be charged £100 for lost keys, so please be careful with them.
AMENITIES FOR BABY / YOUNG CHILDREN
I have provided a Kite travel cot and a highchair for guest use. Please bring your own cot bedding.
My property management team and I will be available 24/7 via email, or phone to provide any assistance you may need.
My house is in the heart of York. Within a 5 minute walk you can reach a wide variety of shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. I recommend walking in via Monkgate and then Goodramgate. Also take a walk along the York Bar Walls to explore the city from another perspective.
Walking is the best way to get around the city. (York city centre is mainly pedestrianised.) If you are looking to take a day trip out of York, catch the Coastliner bus from York Station to either visit Leeds, Malton or the East Yorkshire Coast.
Our listing warmly welcomes guests for stays of over 21 nights, whether you’re visiting for business or pleasure. Enjoy a comfortable, well-equipped space designed to make extended stays both productive and relaxing. With amenities tailored to meet your needs, this property offers the perfect balance of convenience and comfort, ensuring a memorable and hassle-free long-term experience.
IMPORTANT: On behalf of our host at Pass the Keys, we require guest verification facilitated by Truvi (Previously called Superhog). Upon confirming your booking, Truvi will contact the lead booker via a secure link, providing detailed instructions for the verification process.
The online verification requires a government-issued photo ID and a credit or debit card. During this process, you may choose between a refundable GBP 500 deposit (plus GBP 10 transaction fee currency equivalent) or purchase a non-refundable damage waiver of GBP 40 (currency equivalent) to cover potential damages during your stay.
Once the verification process is successfully completed, check-in information will be provided. If you opted in for a deposit, this will be refunded via credit/debit card after your stay, subject to an inspection of the property.

Chris McCabe 30/11/2024No one should be dissatisfied with their stay here. Location just ten minutes walk from Minster. Presentation of house - decoration, equipment was excellent. Instructions for lockbox should have stated that there is a second button out of sight at the back of the box. York Council does not issue parking permits in residents' zones for such holiday lets. Verification process an absolute pain. ... Read full reviewClose

Christine Hines 17/09/2024Nice location. Grateful that it was an easy walk to the historic sites and grocery store.. Only a 5 minute walk to Central York. Also close to a grocery store that was very convenient. The beds were very comfortable. Quiet neighborhood. Quick response time from the Pass the Keys team when we had questions.. This is not an apartment for a frail person because of the steep staircase. The bathroom is downstairs, so midnight bathroom runs have to be done slowly and carefully down the stairs. We kept our suitcases in the front room and just carried our clothes, etc, up the stairs. ... Read full reviewClose
