I liked: Great location I did not like: Was not what was expecting. Very small cramped room with cheap fixtures and bed virtually on the floor. The room smelt very damp and looked like had been previous leak. Other guests were very noisy and one drunk guest tried to get into our room at 3am which was very unsettling. Theconpanies policy also was unexpected after booking non refundable amount with booking, com I was then bombarded with demands for a £500 deposit to secure room Which would be paid back within 2 weeks pending damage inspection or I could pay a non refundable £40 damage waiver. This was definitely not made clear at time of booking as I would never have booked it and especially with such a disappointing room. Summary: Disappointing wouldn’t stay here again and beware booking as will have to pay extra ... Read full reviewClose

I liked: Very clean facilities, fabulous staff, especially the lady who worked on the bar and cleaning, so helpful and friendly. Food was marvellous, well done to the chef. I did not like: Bit off the beaten track and shared kitchen facilities weren't to our taste. Summary: Little break ... Read full reviewClose

I liked: The staff in the pub were excellent, really friendly. The pub food was good, definitely above expectations. The décor in our room was nice, The room size was good. The room was clean upon arrival. I did not like: The description was a bit misleading, firstly it is not an apartment. In two areas of the property description it says there is a kitchen, only in the third and last part of the description is it stated that it's a communal kitchen...I missed this part, which is on me but I do feel it should have been made clearer throughout the property description. The communal kitchen is simply not adequate for five rooms, the fridge is a regular domestic fridge with just two shelves, I am so glad I didn't shop before we had checked out the property otherwise we would have had nowhere to store our food. There is no means of hand drying dishes and there are not enough dishes for all guests to use at the same time. Our room was immediately off the kitchen which meant we were woken at both ends of the day by other guests ,early breakfast and very late suppers, the smell from cooking also permeated into our room. Noise from the pub downstairs could be clearly heard, after the normal closing time for the pub on two nights. We were expecting a self contained apartment, which we would not have expected to be serviced during our week long stay as it was we had a room which had tea and coffee making facilities which were not topped up at all during our stay, the bar staff were amazed when I asked for extra milk but the did provide additional when asked. I was left wondering if I should wash the mugs from our room (I did but I wouldn't do this in a hotel room), empty the bedroom and bathroom bins into the communal kitchen bin...mixed styles of property it isn't one thing or another. We received multiple emails and texts requesting our arrival time, which I responded to twice and still received more of the same texts and emails. Summary: A room, not an apartment. ... Overall the stay was good.. The apartment was clean, tidy and well maintained.. It was a lot of messing around having to send verification documents and then having to pay a £10 fee extra for this process was out of order in my opinion, as that should have come included in the price originally paid. ... The location was remote but beautiful.. the pub below was a really nice friendly place.. it was a very clean and tidy room. The only real issue we had was the kitchen in the pub wasn’t really open when we stayed as we would of liked breakfast but then again theirs is a communal kitchen available if you want to make your own food ...
