About this listing

A recently refurbished 1 bed flat, located in one of York’s most popular neighbourhoods! Centrally located; only 10 minutes walk from York train station and just metres from the famous York City Walls.

The property is well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Brightly lit through original Victorian windows, with views of the medieval city Bar Walls. It has become very popular for long term stays for those wishing to work from home or self isolation purposes.

We support responsible travel within the current restrictions and therefore my property is available for booking where the purpose of your stay falls within the current guidelines set out by the local Government.

The property is professionally cleaned and the linen/ towels are replaced with freshly laundered supplies between each stay. We offer remote access with easy self check-in and 24/7 guest support should you need any assistance during your stay.

My flat shares a communal entrance with one other flat on the ground floor.

My flat sleeps 2 guests. The double bedroom has built in wardrobes and cupboards which provide plenty of storage.

Light grey carpets compliment the strong tropical blue colour scheme throughout my flat. The open plan living dining kitchen area is great for self catering or relaxing after a busy day in the city. There is a large velvet sofa by British designer Matt Arquette and a Smart TV so you can catch up on all your favourite box sets!

The kitchen area runs along one side of the open plan living space. It is compact but functional. Use of appliances include an under counter fridge freezer, washing machine dishwasher, oven and hob.

And lastly, my favourite room! The bathroom is newly fitted and certainly unique! There is a free standing bath, a powerful rainfall shower and a his and hers double sink unit resting on a quirky upcycled bike frame! Views of the City Walls can be admired from this room.

Guests will have access to the entire flat.

Other things to note
CHECK IN / CHECK OUT
Check-in time is after 3pm and check-out time is before 11am. A £30 charge will be requested if guests check themselves in early without permission or if guests do not check out on time as this will cause disruption to my cleaner’s schedule.
Please note that you will be charged £100 for lost keys, so please be careful with them.

LOCATION
My flat is located on a one way system close to the city centre. Due to the central location, there are no parking facilities included. Nunnery Lane 24/7 car park is very close by, approximately a 2 minutes’ walk away.

ADDITIONAL
We operate a strict no party policy and please respect my neighbours by keeping tv, voice and music very low after 10pm.

Our listing warmly welcomes guests for stays of over 21 nights, whether you’re visiting for business or pleasure. Enjoy a comfortable, well-equipped space designed to make extended stays both productive and relaxing. With amenities tailored to meet your needs, this property offers the perfect balance of convenience and comfort, ensuring a memorable and hassle-free long-term experience.

I liked: Cosy lounge and kitchen area with all the essentials, great access to main points of interest while being "out of the way" enough for a quiet evening in. Fantastic little highstreet nearby. ... Read full reviewClose

I liked: I travelled alone and felt very safe at the location. I walked to and from the race course. Police station just around the corner and neighbour in flat downstairs. Its quirky. LOVED the big bath! host communication and help excellent. I did not like: I needed a long stay car park and with the train station being closed, ended up miles away. A little noisy with traffic and neighbours. Front entrance does not do the property justice. Summary: A real home from home. Loved it. ... Read full reviewClose

I liked: The location is good. I did not like: The shower is dangerous - the water temperature can't be controlled and is scalding hot. The description of modern romantic is misleading. Romantic? Depends on your definition but definitely not modern. Car park expensive for more than an overnight stay. ... Read full reviewClose

I liked: A beautiful house , very well equipped, in the center of York in a very quiet neighborhood .Ideal for romantic getaways ! Many city attractions in walking distance. I did not like: Everything was fine ... Read full reviewClose

I liked: It was a nice cozy property with everything you could need. Nice comfy bed, excellent shower and comfortably close to the city. I did not like: I didn’t like paying the additional insurance and think this should be covered by the owner, an additional cost that had not been catered for when looking at prices. The path from the pavement to the property is very slippy and dangerous when wet, it just needs sweeping on a regular basis. The filters above the cooker need a good clean, we didn’t use the dishwasher but I have the same at home and they are fine if dish washed. Summary: Very enjoyable. ... Read full reviewClose

I liked: Die Lage ist recht gut, vor der Stadtmauer und nahe der Bischy Road und Ouse. I did not like: Sie ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Read full reviewClose

I liked: Excellent location within walking distance to the city centre. Well equipped and very clean and tidy Bed was very comfortable. I did not like: Wouldn’t class it as a romantic apartment. It’s functional and a good base for exploring York but wouldn’t stay here if the trip had been for a romantic breakaway. There really needs to be a mind the step sign going into the bathroom. Summary: Perfect location for exploring York ... Read full reviewClose

The booking process was easy and full details were provided regarding the property. Well worth the cost. Thanks. I did not like: Everything was good Summary: Long weekend in York ... the facilities that were there easy to use as well, and the location was good. The lamp shade in the bedroom had cobwebs and did seem very bright. You have to step across onto the high bit of the garden to put rubbish in the shed. ... Read full reviewClose

Fabulous location. Great range of ammenites and the bath tub was the highlight of the property. Maybe supplying some bubble bath or little bottles for each stay would really top off the experience. ... Read full reviewClose
