I am Gordon, Franchise Owner of Pass the Keys® Rye & Camber, an area nestled on the beautiful coastal border of Kent and East Sussex. I live locally with my young family and we love all that the region has to offer. Educated in Belgium, the UK and North Carolina, my career focused on 5-star hospitality and the media (often both together!). I was a TV drama producer for many years, owned a radio station in Mallorca and, until moving to Rye, ran a successful ‘private members’ club’ in the heart of Soho in London. Along the way, I have worked at some of the most prestigious hotels and restaurants in the UK and overseas, developing the practical skills to get the job done, whilst honing an exacting eye for what guests really want. Our historically strong short-let market is currently booming and I’m excited to be working with landlords, helping to ensure that only the highest level of service is provided for their guests.

I liked: Location was great for walking into Rye (5mins). It was on a busy road with a lot of traffic noise. This did quieten down later evening. It was good to have a parking space. Flat was warm and clean, with everything needed for a stay. I did not like: Floorboards were very creaky. The beds were not particularly comfortable and the one in the upstairs room was noisy every time you moved. Toilet in downstairs bathroom wasn't properly bolted to the floor. Just felt it was all a bit shabby and in need of some work Summary: Good location for a fun stay in Rye ... Read full reviewClose

I liked: The property was lovely and spacious. The property being on the ground floor was great due to my son being disabled. The tea, coffee, sugar and orange juice, milk and chocolate tea cakes was a lovely gesture. Thank you I did not like: The sink in the upstairs bathroom did not flow the water away, it might be blocked. There was a liquid on the door in the bathroom upstairs that I cleaned off the door and the rug in the living room had not been hovered due to tiny star shaped leaves imbedded in the rug. We went to sit in the little garden but noticed a lot of wasps going in and out of the roof of the side of the property. We then decided to come back into the property and close the doors. Summary: We did have a lovely stay at the property, apart from the things mentioned we would have given the review excellent. ... Read full reviewClose

I liked: It has two bathrooms. There’s free easy parking available (which is hard in Rye). Location is very good and walkable to the city centre. I did not like: There’s an additional process after booking where you either pay £40 insurance or have a deposit held against your card- it was an unexpected extra cost. The house is a bit dated and in need of some minor repairs. There’s a decent garden outside but really overgrown. Summary: Great location and with parking - needs a refresh ... Read full reviewClose

I liked: Great location and nice little outdoor area I did not like: Beds were not comfortable and the ensuite had some flooring missing and a hole above shower, plus some of carpet was not properly fitted in the house - it was fraying around the edges. Just old and tired and needed a refresh. ... Read full reviewClose

I liked: Great location and a bonus is having a parking space. I did not like: Needs some maintenance and updating in places, a bit tired. Outdoor garden area is fine but could do with weeding and repairing the gravel border Summary: Great location for a short stay. ... Read full reviewClose
