Local Restaurants
The Oyster Catcher which has a bar serving some food and a restaurant is only a 5 minute walk from the house. In Rhosneigr itself there are several pubs/bars: Y Morfa, the Glan Neigr, Starvation, Sandymount House. They all do food but Sandymount House is also a restaurant. There is a chipshop and a pizza take away as well as cafes (Mojos, Notos and above the surfshop). However, for dinner in particular, space is limited so in busy times of the year book ahead! Many of them also stop serving early (8/9pm). Further afield, there’s also a nice pub – Y Goron – in Aberffraw that does food and a cider farm with a bar as well but you’ll have to drive there. Valley, Holyhead, Llangefni and Menai Bridge have pubs, restaurants and takeaways but beware that there are very few (if any!) delivery options!

Local Attractions
Aside from all things watersports (swimming, surfing, kite/windsurfing and paddle boarding) on the various beaches. Theres Crigyll Beach and estuary to see the Crigyll Bore! you can walk around Maelog lake just outside of the village which is lovely (but muddy when wet!). If you fancy going a bit further you can carry on down to the beach (Broad Beach) and then come back (with maybe a little pitstop in the Oyster Catcher!). Rhosneigr has lots more beach to explore and some shops, cafes and an ice cream parlour. Alternatively, walk down to Broad beach, turn left and do a walk up to Cable Bay and have a look at the 3500 BC burial chamber. Cable Bay is also a lovely sandy beach with beautiful views over the Irish sea. In Rhosneigr there’s a golf club and a small sports club (Clwb Chwaraeon Rhosneigr/Rhosneigr Sports Club) where you can book tennis, basketball, 5-a-side and bowling

Trains
Nearest train station is Rhosneigr. Not all trains stop there so you might have to change at Bangor. It’s a request stop so tell the guard you want to stop there. It’s ~10 min walk from train station through the village. No bus but there is a taxi

Buses
Bus stop across the main road by the fire station. The 25 bus goes from Rhosneigr or Llanfaelog to Holyhead or Aberffraw 3 times a day (on week days)

Will definitely be back and shall be recommending to friends and family, old and young. I visited with my husband, elderly parents and an elderly dog. The apartment was exceptional. We were all made up because of the fantastic view from the lounge window. A great place to view Valley airfield with its jet planes going off regularly. The view also showing the beach and sea. Access to the beach was just round the corner from the apartment which Misty our dog was made up with. We didn’t bother with the back garden due to the decking being wet but I would imagine it would be a plus in the summertime. Access to the apartment was via a stairway of about 10 steps which had a switch for the light at the bottom and also at the top of the stairwell. Leading in from front door you had a small reception room with a Juliette balcony where the patio doors could be opened fully. A great little area to stargaze with telescope in the evenings. Next door then leads into the lounge/dining/kitchen area and hallway leading off to the two bedrooms and bathroom. All bedrooms were fully equipped and beds were lovely and comfortable. Bathroom had a good sized shower with washing machine. Kitchen was fully equipped with all necessities. I would say a pair of small tongs would come in handy when frying sausages and bacon. We did not use the oven so cannot comment on that. Heating was excellent all through the apartment. Tv reception was a bit hit and miss but you do have access to Netflix and Amazon so parents had plenty to watch while me and hubby went out for a drink in the village which is only a five minute walk away on the flat.. Absolutely nothing. ... Read full reviewClose

Fantastic apartment for a family holiday in a superb location. The location was superb, overlooking and with easy access to the beach and other local amenities. The layout was also good and suited our family of 4 perfectly.. The outside, sea-facing windows could have been cleaner but I appreciate this must be a challenge. Also the satirway up to the property smelled a bit musty. Again, this must be a challenge considering the environment and the property itself was lovely. ... Read full reviewClose

Decent apartment spoiled by unhelpful over management. The apartment was located close to the centre of the village. It was clean and comfortable with pleasant views of the beach and airfield over other buildings.. It was a short break at short notice. The management company sent me an email demanding I identify myself online and pay a deposit or waiver at 120am! I was in a location with no internet due to the ee tower being worked on. I had to drive to a location to complete the online ID and deposit with no alternative offered. It took over an hour due to their site going down for maintenance but as I was arriving the next day I had no choice. Contacting the company by phone was not helpful. Soured the whole experience. ... Lots of potential but wasn’t great unfortunately. I think I just stayed at the wrong time when construction work was tak. It was really spacious and had a lovely view. Location was great and the living/dining room was lovely.. The view and holiday in general was tainted somewhat by the fact that some serious construction work was taking place on the house across the road, so all I could hear all day every day was a cement mixer, banging, shouting and the constant radio. I also couldn’t get the TV or hob to work, an instruction booklet for the house would have been helpful. ... Read full reviewClose

Great location, lots of space. Great location, 2 min walk to the beach, beautiful view from the living room. The apartment has everything one might need, all kitchen stuff, washing machine. The bed was big and comfy. Communication with Pass the Keys was quick and pleasant. Would definitely come again and recommend.. Everything was great ... Read full reviewClose

Views stunning, location perfect, short walk to beach, lots of space in all the rooms.. Loved looking out to the beach and the jets at RAF Valley.. "Boasts a balcony", however it has patio doors, with no keys available to open, so at best it was a hallway, but also a very hot room. Disappointed as would have loved to enjoy the "balcony" in the evening with the sun shining in. Shower probably needs some tlc. ... Read full reviewClose

Great little stay. It suited us perfectly. Located brilliantly for the beach. Fabulous views. I could have sat in the sun room with the Juliet balcony doors open all day. It was clean and had everything we needed and we will be back.. We liked it all. It isn't a house that's perfect, but it was homely and comfortable and perfect for us. ... Read full reviewClose

Excellent flat with superb access to the beach and great views.. Property was in an excellent location for the beach and the town centre. Amazing views and at the bottom of the runway for RAF Valley. Very clean and comfortable. Super parking.. Stairs to the first floor and main door were smelly and in need of painting. Rather off putting. ... Read full reviewClose

Excellent accommodation. Superbly furnished and well catered . Clean and well presented. Safe parking space, well lit entrance/stairwell. Slight issue for us on check in but the local agent/manager rushed to resolve quickly and efficiently. Constant contact available if needed. Issues about the property raised separately with the Ops Mgr and they were dealt with that day. Great customer service. Great for dogs and access to the beach Fab provision of games, cards and activities. Lots of dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid and washing tablets provided, kitchen fabulously stocked with plenty of crockery.. Would have liked tea bags and coffee for arrival, particularly on a Sunday when check in at 4pm shops closed once realised none provided . Blankets for the sofa/beds for dogs. We did take our own to reduce dog hair on furniture and beds. (There is a dog bed/ bowls provided. ) Instructions for hob (I'm an idiot so googled) Would have been nice to have some Christmas decorations/lights/ small tree up for stays in December. 10am check out is hard work, with an 11am check out and a 4pm check in this should give sufficient time to thoroughly clean and offer a more relaxed check out process for guests. ...
