Dale Halliday 16/10/2024Everything except for the 2 points I made about what I didn't like.. Having to pay Superhog $25CAD. Especially since it was advertised as 10GBP which should have been $17 or $18CAD. The treads on the stairs are very hard on the feet. ... Read full reviewClose

Dawn Baillargeon 30/09/2024Very convenient to the Old City of Canterbury!. As a tourist wanting easy/walkable access to the highlights of Canterbury, this property was excellent. A short walk to High Street and lots of grocery stores available in order to feed our selves. The kitchen was very well appointed ! Nice shower as well.. My travel companion has some mobility issues and climbing the narrow spiral staircase to the bedrooms was not easy. As well, it was impossible getting our carry on luggage up the stairs. We made do by leaving all the luggage on the main floor. This limited access (tight, steep staircase) was not written in the initial Booking. Com listing. ... Read full reviewClose

Keith Miller 30/06/2024Little big cottage living. Loved the location, location, location and the cottage feel. The outside and kitchen were fantastic. The living room was very comfortable.. Only one bathroom. A separate toilet room would have been nice. And no reserved parking for the cottage. ... Read full reviewClose

David Mancuso 16/06/2024An excellent choice for a stay in Canterbury. Clean. Nice natural light. Excellent hot water and pressure. Great bedding. Appreciated the little typed instruction notes. Loved the gas stove in the living room. Cute outdoor space but weather prevented us from enjoying it.. Bathroom on first floor vs bedrooms on 2nd via narrow spiral stairs might not be for everyone but wasn’t an issue for us. ... Read full reviewClose

kyna rubin 30/05/2024Lovely and comfortable.. Location great. Quiet, yet a short walk to High Street and everything else.. Having to use the wrought-iron, hard-on-your-feet circular staircase in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, located on the first floor (bedrooms are on second floor). ... Karen Serles 28/05/2024A Delightful Little Jane Austen House. We (3 women) loved this little row house. Pretty, fresh decor with every amenity we needed (we made simple breakfasts only, but the kitchen was well equipped for more). Clean, nice linens, quiet, well situated, charming little garden and a washing machine(!). 2 observations, and these were not negatives for us - the 2 bedrooms are upstairs and reachable by a small spiral staircase, so could be a challenge for some and the double bed is an actual double, so quite cosy for 2 people ... Carol Franceschini 02/04/2024Great place in a great town. Great location, beautifully decorated, excellent support from property manager, fantastic town. Loved it!. The bathroom is located at the ground floor, separate from the bedrooms upstairs. Having to go down the narrow round stairs during the night was a bit uncomfortable. But all other aspects of the apartment more than compensate for this hassle. ... Read full reviewClose

Sharan Thind 26/03/2024Great location Lovely cottage, would recommend. There was everything we needed. Clean and tidy. Lovely vibe. Just a couple of things we found on arrival; No hand soap in the kitchen nor in the bathroom sink (running out). There was chewing gum stuck on the inner stair case. The top of the staircase can get slippery The bathroom being downstairs was a little bit annoying. ... Read full reviewClose

Tiago Jackson 09/03/2024Property 10. Location 10. Hosting 4.. The property is outstanding. Great value for money in the heart of Canterbury and it genuinely feels like a home fit for all purposes. If you need to work from the property, it's perfect. if you want to work in town, there are multiple brilliant working cafes 1-2 min walk away. One of them is by the river with a lovely rustic atmosphere (don't try the caipirinha tho - everything else was amazing), and the other one is a literal co-working cafe and area, which we used for a pitch meeting (which we secured). Overall, if I were to rate this property on the property itself (considering value for money) and location. It would be a very easy 10.. The hosting is done by "pass the keys," a company that oversees properties for rest and handles the hosting interface. On the first night, we managed to lock ourselves outside, as there were two sets of similar keys, but only one of them actually opened the door. After numerous calls and having to wait circa 2 hours, they sent someone over to open the property, but only after forcing us to pay £50, which made me feel like a similar key situation was done on purpose. If we didn't pay the £50, I get we would;d have just lost our reservation then. Secondly, one of us left a book on the property, which has taken them weeks to identify/locate (even though we told them exactly where it was and what it looked like). They have now said that they will send it to us for £25 (considering a first class, signed for postage is not even £9) and that the book itself is £12. We ofc don't mind paying and even adding an additional handling fee on top of that (even if it were symbolic and just as a way of saying "Thank you"), but there is no courtesy and no real hosting. You are dealing with a company that is very much profit-oriented and not a charismatic host who is pleasant and welcoming. ... Read full reviewClose

Sarah Hall 09/01/2024Cute little character cottage, ideally for 3. Cute little house, perfect as a base as out most of our trip. Rooms were cozy and beds were comfortable. House was in a good location, 5mins walk into the high street. Kitchen was well equipped if we’d have wanted to cook and had a nice courtyard if it had been summer we would have definitely used.. Stairs were very steep so quite hard for our older friend to get up and now as narrow. ... Read full reviewClose
