A modern well equipped townhouse with free off road parking (2 small cars or one medium/large car) to the front of the property. Private garden to the rear with a decked area and furniture for Al Fresco dining.
My house is ideally situated only a short 15 minute walk into the historic city centre via York’s Trendy 5th Quarter, to the Minster and all of York’s tourist attractions.
Ground Floor:
A homely living dining room which includes a large comfy sofa, an armchair, a flat screen TV and Smart DVD player to stream catch up channels, Netflix etc. A table and four chairs are tucked away in the corner for breakfast time or home cooked meals. There will be some complimentary tea/coffee waiting for you which I am sure will be useful for those arriving after a long journey!
The kitchen is well equipped with a dishwasher, a washer dryer, a range cooker and an American fridge freezer as well as all the usual small kitchen appliances, such as a toaster, kettle and microwave. There is also a second TV in the kitchen.
As a second reception room or study, the sun room is accessed through the kitchen. This is a lovely bright space to spread out and relax. A desk and chair is in here for those who want to work from home, boasting 900 Mbps high-speed internet, and some handy USB charging units.
A travel cot/playpen, mattress and high chair can be borrowed, as well as children’s bowls, cups and cutlery. (See further information below).
First Floor
There are two bedrooms; both with double beds, wardrobe storage and a fan. USB charging units are also in both bedrooms, which come in handy for all your gadgets. Fresh white bed linen and towels will be provided, as well as some complimentary travel sized toiletries.
The bathroom is also on this level, which consists of a toilet, hand basin and bath, with shower above.
Outside Space:
There is off street parking, directly outside the house for two small cars or one medium/large cars. To the front is a small garden at the entrance that is integrated with the driveway. To the rear of house is a private quaint garden which is a lovely green space to enjoy a morning coffee.
Guests will have access to the entire house.
CHECK IN / CHECK OUT
Check-in time is after 3pm and check-out time is before 11am. A £30 charge will be requested if guests check themselves in early without permission or if guests do not check out on time as this will cause disruption to my cleaner’s schedule.
Please note that you will be charged £100 for lost keys, so please be careful with them.
PETS
Well behaved dogs welcome! A small additional fee of £30 will be taken to cover additional cleaning. Please advise us if you have a pet and provide us with as much information as possible.
FAMILY FACILITIES
There is a travel cot/playpen & high chair which you are welcome to borrow. (Guests will need to provide their own cot bedding). There are also children’s bowls, cups and cutlery in the kitchen. If you would like instructions for the travel cot/playpen in advance, please contact my property management team.
There is a security camera covering the driveway parking area.
The gas fire in the living room is capped off, therefore not in use.

The online verification requires a government-issued photo ID and a credit or debit card. During this process, you may choose between a refundable GBP 500 deposit (plus GBP 10 transaction fee currency equivalent) or purchase a non-refundable damage waiver of GBP 40 (currency equivalent) to cover potential damages during your stay.
Once the verification process is successfully completed, check-in information will be provided. If you opted in for a deposit, this will be refunded via credit/debit card after your stay, subject to an inspection of the property.

Fridge freezer was large and was more than adequate for the length of our stay. The bed was comfortable. It was very easy to heat up and stay warm.. We can't be overly critical about anything but The pillows were lumpy foam as if they'd been through washing machine too many times. Maybe a few more kitchen utensils would have made our longer stay better. We had wanted our family to come and visit, but I felt I couldn't prepare our Christmas meal there. Taps in bathroom need replacing, constant drip, one doesn’t work. Need more cooking utensils, one was burnt with handle falling off. Saucepan also burnt. Gerhard Kahl 02/08/2024Die Lage war sehr gut für einen Besuch des Zentrums von York. Wir haben uns sehr gefreut, in einem "echten" englischen Reihenhaus zu leben. Die Aufteilung der Räume war sehr gut und angenehm, die Umgebung (incl. Nachbarn) war sehr angenehm, ruhig, Nachbarn halfen uns bei Fragen. Alles klappte bestens.. Bei der Buchung war Superhog zwischengeschaltet (darauf wurde in der Anzeige hingewiesen). Allerdings war nicht vermerkt, dass in jedem Fall (Kaution oder Versicherung) zusätzliche Kosten (also versteckte Kosten) anfallen, auf die nicht hingewiesen wurde. Das empfanden wir als nicht sehr fair. Weiters war die Identifizierung bei Superhog (Reisepass, Photo von sich selbst) extrem aufwendig und lästig (es waren sehr lange rechtliche Texte zu lesen, die teilweise schwer verständlich waren) ... Only a couple of small things- there were no replacement rubbish bags in the kitchen or dishwasher tablets. We improvised with the rubbish situation and washed dishes ourselves.
