OUT & ABOUT
Terraced, three-storey town house located on a peaceful street in Oxford’s Golden Triangle. Sandwiched between vibrant Cowley Road and Iffley Road, where you’ll find three of the top five best restaurants in Oxford according to Time Out, music venues, Oxford’s only independent cinema, and everything you need to cover your day-to-day needs: supermarkets, banks, ATM/cash point, petrol station, pharmacy etc.

Popular Magdalen Road (2 minute walk), is home to an organic grocery store, a Nordic homewares shop, a children’s bookstore, boutique yoga and fitness studios, and a number of delis, cafes, and eateries.

Of the fabulous restaurants nearby, some of our favourites include Michelin Bib Gourmand-winning gastropub The Magdalen Arms, Arbequina (an intimate Tapas spot), and The Chester Arms, renowned for it’s steak platter. Try Hamblin Bread, named as one of the best bakeries in the U.K.

Aston’s Eyot – 5-minute walk: A 32-acre wildlife haven.
South Park – 15-minute walk: Ideal for picnics or jogging, with views of Oxford’s dreaming spires.
Florence Park – 20-minute walk: Tree-lined avenues, cafe, outdoor tennis courts, several children playground areas.
River Thames – 20-minute walk: Take a scenic walk along the river from Donnington Bridge to Iffley Lock or hire a punt from Magdalen Bridge for a classic Oxford experience.

More recommendations on places to eat, drink, shop, and visit can be found in the ‘Where you’ll be’ section just below the map.

OXFORD CITY CENTRE ATTRACTIONS
Oxford city centre is just a 20 minute walk or easy bus ride away.

Christ Church College and Cathedral – Founded by Henry VIII and featured in numerous films and TV shows, including the Harry Potter franchise. A stunning example of Romanesque and Gothic architecture, and an absolute must-see.

Radcliffe Camera / Bodleian Old Library – One of Oxford’s most iconic landmarks, home to one of Europe’s oldest libraries. Be sure to book a tour in advance to explore the magnificent Baroque dome from within.

The Ashmolean Museum – The world’s first university museum, founded in 1683. Its free collections range from Egyptian mummies to contemporary art. The Rooftop Restaurant offers terrific views of Oxford’s picturesque spires.

Pitt Rivers Museum – Houses over half a million objects from the University’s archaeological and anthropological collections. Part of the neighbouring Natural History Museum complex.

Westgate Oxford – A modern 800,000-square-foot complex of shops, restaurants, and leisure attractions, including a rooftop dining terrace with views across Oxford’s skyline. Highlights include a five-screen Curzon cinema, an escape room, Junkyard Golf, Flight Club (darts), and Sixes (cricket).

Oxford Castle & Prison – A medieval castle later used as a prison. The surviving rectangular St George’s Tower is now believed to pre-date the rest of the castle and served as a watchtower. Climb it for breathtaking 360-degree views of the city’s dreaming spires.

Oxford Botanic Garden – Founded in 1621 as a physic garden for medicinal research, it is the oldest of its kind in Great Britain. Home to over 5,000 plant species, it also boasts a charming riverside café—perfect for watching punts glide by.

Punting – This classic Oxford experience along the River Cherwell or the Isis (the local name for the Thames) is not to be missed! Hire a boat—chauffeured, if you prefer—at the Magdalen Bridge Boathouse.

Oxford River Walks – The River Thames and its tributary, the Cherwell, offer scenic walking routes through Oxford. Popular options include the Thames Path, the riverside walk through Christ Church Meadow, and routes in University Parks. The Oxford Canal provides a tranquil alternative.

Music & Events – Oxford is rich in cultural attractions, from glorious Evensong at Magdalen College to world-class theatre at the New Theatre and Oxford Playhouse. Big-name musicians, comedians, and other performers appear regularly at the O₂ Academy on Cowley Road.
