Located in the quiet and elegant neighbourhood of Bootham, where grand Georgian houses give way to Victorian properties, and trees and cobbled margins decorate the length of the street.

Our newly renovated 5 bedroom house is only a 8 minutes walk to York city centre. Expect modern interiors and quality furnishings. Spread across three floors, the store offers plenty of space to unwind after a busy day in the city. Due to the central location, free parking for up to 3 cars is also available.

The space
Ground Floor:
Hallway entrance with contemporary coat hangers on the wall, leading to the stylish open plan dining living quarters. The living area is lovely and bright with the feature of a bay window and an original fireplace (not in use). Hardwood plantation shutters are installed throughout, which allow you to manage daylight to your liking and privacy.

The living room offers plenty of comfortable seating, including carefully selected sofas and armchairs. Plenty of space to relax and enjoy even while you`re watching a movie or your favorite TV show.

In the dining area, you’ll be greeted by an impressively long wooden table that seats up to 10 guests comfortably. Perfect for breakfast or a home-cooked meal with family and friends. The dining area is also a great place to work or study, with plenty of natural light and a peaceful ambiance.

The kitchen is suitably equipped for a comfortable stay. Appliances include use of two fridge freezers, a washer dryer, dishwasher, 4 ovens, a large electric hob, microwave, toaster and kettle. Complimentary tea/coffee is provided if you would like a hot drink on arrival. We also offer a small complimentary kitchen pack consisting of dishwasher tubs, washing machine tubs, fairy liquids and sponges. A vertuo pop coffee machine and French press are in place for coffee lovers!

There are three bedrooms on the first floor and two bedrooms on the second (top) floor. Each double bedroom has storage space, a cooling fan, a short and long length mirror, as well has its own private en-suite shower room for extra comfort!
Every en-suite bathroom includes a touch sensor light mirror, shower cubicle (rainfall and hand held shower), wash hand basin and toilet.

Family friendly too – we’ve got one highchair and travel cot you are welcome to borrow.

First Floor:
The Baby Pink bedroom includes a double bed, a double wardrobe, bedside tables and reading lamps.
The Grey bedroom includes a king bed, double wardrobe, chest of drawers, dressing table and chair, a bedside table, and reading lamps.

The Pink Teal bedroom includes a king size bed, double wardrobe, chest of drawers, luggage rack, bedside tables and reading lamps.

Second Floor:
The Navy bedroom has a double bed, short wardrobe, bedside tables and reading lamps.
The Taupe bedroom has a king size bed, double wardrobe, chest of drawers, luggage rack, bedside tables and reading lamps.

Outside:
There is a decked yard.
The rear gate leads to two parking space which are in accessed area down the alleyway. The parking spaces are only suitable for small/medium cars due to the width of the alleyway access (Ford Focus at largest). There is one parking space to the front, just off the street and opposite the house. Please see ‘Other things to note’ and refer to your guest manual for more information on parking.

Once arrived, there will be some complimentary tea/coffee waiting for you which I am sure will be useful for those arriving after a long journey!

Fresh white bedding and towels are provided (hand towel and bath towel per person), as well as miniature travel sized bottles of shampoo, shower gel and soap. Other items included are a washing-up pack, toilet roll and kitchen roll, which will last a couple of days. If wish to purchase more for your stay there is a Sainsbury’s Local which is 5 minutes walk in the direction of the city centre.

Other things to note
PARKING
There is parking for up to 3 cars. Please read carefully to check parking is suitable for your transport. There is ONE car parking space to the front, opposite the house. It’s a little tight but the bonus is it off the road!

There are 2 additional parking space to the rear of the property for small cars only via the alleyway passage. The parking space is on a graveled area which is recessed off the alleyway. To access the rear parking you must turn down the alleyway so please be careful, especially if arriving in the evening! If you’d like a document sending with help on how to access the parking spaces, please ask my property management team and provide your email.

CHECK IN / CHECK OUT
Check-in time is after 4pm and check-out time is before 10am. A £30 charge will be requested if guests check themselves in early without permission or if guests do not check out on time as this will cause disruption to my cleaner’s schedule.
Please note that you will be charged £100 for lost keys, so please be careful with them.

Additional rules

– When leaving the property please make sure you lock the door and all the windows.

The online verification requires a government-issued photo ID and a credit or debit card. During this process, you may choose between a refundable GBP 500 deposit (plus GBP 10 transaction fee currency equivalent) or purchase a non-refundable damage waiver of GBP 40 (currency equivalent) to cover potential damages during your stay.

Once the verification process is successfully completed, check-in information will be provided. If you opted in for a deposit, this will be refunded via credit/debit card after your stay, subject to an inspection of the property.

      Would highly recommend this property for the location. Very clean & comfortable.. Modern clean house. Enough crockery/cutlery for everyone. Great central location for the main attractions. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Nice showers. Great idea to have 2 fridges and 2 ovens for the property.. I think that a couple more small chairs in the lounge would be ideal.       Location, well kept and quiet location in stunning York. It was the most memorable stay of our 2 weeks in England.. Location was incredible…and every room has its own ensuite! Large table for the 9 of us to sit around in the evening as well as comfy couches to relax. You can walk to almost any of the main attractions in York in 15min or so, including the train station.       Property was not stunning as advertised, it is need of some fresh paint and gardening. There was signs of damp both in the living room and the kitchen One of the showers was unusable due to the smell coming from the drain Trip hazard going from kitchen to dining room - most of our group tripped at least once.       We would use it again. We had a great time with our three generation family in this beautifully appointed centrally located house.. I suggest that "stunning modern" be changed to "recently modernised and excellently located" . Entering the house I found mail and publicity on the doorstep which suggested that the property had been vacant some weeks. Outside the back door were the full rubbish bags of the previous occupiers (not very nice) The back gate needs repair (security issue). the dishwasher contained the unwashed crockery from the previous visitors. The dishwasher failed to clean the contents (the machine needs a thorough overhaul) and we did not use it again. ... Read full reviewClose
