The property is located a 5 minute walk from the famous Anstruther Harbour and Fish Bar.
Second Floor – Master Bedroom with ensuite and second bedroom with 2 single beds.
First Floor – Kitchen, Main Bathroom and open plan living room and dining room.
Smoking is not permitted within the property.
We expect all guests to respect the property and neighbors.
Guest have full access to the house via the front door.

Check in is via the secure key pad/box when you arrive.

Nearest bus stop is less than 50 metres from the property. Anstruther is served by Express Bus X60 from Edinburgh to St Andrews and local bus 95.

Carissa Duran 26/09/2024Good value for the stay but the after-booking non-refundable fee cast a negative shadow on the experience.. that I had the whole place to myself. The bed was very comfortable and the place had a homey, comfortable feel. Open parking on adjacent lot was nice. Loved having use of the washer and dryer.. The biggest gripe is that they charge a $49 non-refundable fee AFTER booking in order to get access. On top of that, they ask that you remove all your trash and wash any used dishes. Which I normally do, but the extra charge should have been given to a cleaner and they clean up. Or don’t charge that fee, and I clean up (or, even include it DURING booking). Also, the heater didn’t seem to fully heat the place. With the rooms on the third floor and the heating system below, it likely needs a stronger unit to fully push the heat all the way to the top of the unit. ... Read full reviewClose

Tara Gibson 31/08/2024Property is in a great location within Anstruther. It’s well equipped and spacious, lovely view out to sea from bedroom. Walking distance to everything you need - shops, bars and restaurants. Has a selection of condiments in the kitchen and the hosts provide everything for dish cleaning which is great. There are a lot of stairs just as a result of the layout across 3 floors, something to consider if you have mobility issues.. The booking process is a bit much, the system used by the pass the keys is superhog which sends multiple text messages and emails until you fill out the form. The form asks for an awful lot of Information, passport number and a photo on the page, a selfie photo of you which I felt was a lot for a 2 night stay, I actually called booking to make sure this wasn’t a scam cos I’ve never had to do this before. Also beware of the add on cost of damage insurance, you can either pay a non refundable £40 or £500 of which £490 will be refunded assuming you don’t break anything, oh and there’s a massive contract document to read. I have to say all of that meant I wasn’t able to relax on our break, concerned about any accidental damage, and I honestly can’t see myself ever booking another property that uses that system. Forbes Susan 04/08/2024Charming, comfortable summer stay.. It was a bright, clean home away from home. Spacious and well appointed. We had everything we needed. The views of the sea (over the rooftops) from upstairs were lovely. Very convenient to the harbor, shops and restaurants. Less than a five minute walk to the middle pier to catch the boat trip to the Isle of May to see the puffins! A short drive to St. Andrews for golf or sight seeing.. Most of the less positive notes I have here are just a matter of being used to things a different way at home in the US. Not really a reflection on the rental or management. I just share them so other travellers can learn from our mistakes. We had difficulty finding the street as it's a hairpin turn from the main road and it looks like a private driveway to the untrained eye. Our GPS was confused too. 😁 Ultimately, we sort of accidentally approached from the other end of the street and came down the street from the top of the hill which we could at least tell it wasn't a driveway. We felt pretty dumb once we figured it out. The front door key/lock gave us a little trouble, my partner got the hang of it, but it would still take a few tries. The parking spot wasn't really possible to negotiate in an SUV, but there was ample parking at the end of the road. The wifi info provided was completely wrong. The info on the back of the router was correct though and the signal was good once we got connected. I think it's clear in the property description, but this house is not accessible unless you can climb stairs. There are three levels - bedrooms on the top floor. Our last night there, my partner pulled the door between the kitchen and living area closed behind him (why, I do not know) and we couldn't get it open again! It was weird because there wasn't any visible locking mechanism, it looked like a regular interior door handle, but it wouldn't budge! It was late, but I messaged the property management to let them know, and they did respond in the middle of the night, but we had an early flight the next morning so we couldn't stay around to find out what went wrong there. We did have a few personal items that we abandoned behind that locked door, but nothing that wasn't easily replaced. The moral of that story is just don't close any doors unnecessarily in really old buildings to avoid this puzzle! 😬 ... Read full reviewClose

Contrattempo spiacevole all'arrivo (quasi 2 ore perse), relativo al ritiro self-service della chiave di ingresso il codice fornito il giorno precedente era stato cambiato senza preavviso. Al numero di telefono fornito non c'è stato modo di capirci perché la linea si interrompeva continuamente e ho tentato circa 10 volte di richiamare. Claire Thatcher 12/04/2024Lovely house in a very good location.. Lovely house in a great location. Decorated very well and very well equipped. Rooms were all spacious and we enjoyed our stay.. We arrived at 4 which was check in time, however the cleaners were still in the property. They explained they were running behind time and would only be a few minutes which we understood. However 15 mins later they were still cleaning and explained they had all the mopping still to do. This was a bit disappointing as we were ready to get settled as we had our 9 month old with us and wanted to get them set up for food etc. I think a 4pm check in is quite late so for the cleaners to not be finished by then and us be able to get in straight away was a little disappointing. ... Lots of space for everyone.. The parking space was a little bit tight for a bigger vehicle - it was easier to park in the free car park at the top of the road so wasn’t really a problem.
