The space
A beautifully presented secret hideaway close to the seaside! The cabin at the back of our house is lovingly crafted by us. Every minute detail resulting in a bespoke handmade contemporary space at the back of our garden offering a very comfortable, private stay in the heart of Whitstable.
With the seaside and the town center only minutes away!
The cabin has private access via an alleyway at the back of the house and is screened off from our garden for your privacy.
Small Kitchenette area with microwave, kettle, toaster, plug in induction hob, fridge, complementary tea and coffee, table and stools
Bespoke, handmade plywood double bed, bedside tables and clothes storage.
Shower room with electric shower, toilet and sink
There is a very small, private outdoor space with table and chairs.

Entire Cabin is for your use!
The entrance to the cabin is about 15 meters down an alleyway that does not have street lights. During the winter months, it is useful to have a torch, a phone torch would be sufficient.

During this process, you may choose between a refundable GBP 500 deposit (plus GBP 10 transaction fee currency equivalent) or purchase a non-refundable damage waiver of GBP 40 (currency equivalent) to cover potential damages during your stay.
Once the verification process is successfully completed, check-in information will be provided. If you opted in for a deposit, this will be refunded via credit/debit card after your stay, subject to an inspection of the property.

Great for a short stay. the privacy, the hosts were friendly and helpful when needed. Had everything I needed. Very close to main high street and beach. Very comfortable and clean.. Due to the nature of the tiny house, its entrance is located down an alley. So when arriving in winter after 4pm it can be a little scary for a solo female traveler, such as myself. Nice to have tea & coffee available although I didn't need it. Nice info pack with local recommendations.. Alley entrance made me feel vulnerable as I was a lone traveller arriving late in the dark. However, the instructions were clear, there was some lighting and I gained access fine. I didn't like the way I was charged another £10 by the management company for paying a deposit. The other option was to pay a non-refundable higher amount. This seemed cheeky, especially as I left no damage so why was I paying to leave a deposit that was unlikely to be needed? ... Tastefully done. Private.. Whoever was renting/living in the main house was incredibly noisy from 6am which ruined the peaceful location, first thing. Had to wash rings out of 2 of the mugs. Stephen Smith 16/08/2024Well equipped, well located, impeccably clean, modern holiday home. Small but large enough for a solo traveller or even a couple. Quiet and very well insulated for sound. Nice shower and facilities.. I feel harsh complaining as I stayed on one of the hottest days of the year but arriving it was like a sauna and whilst a powerful fan made it bearable when on the highest setting it, was very loud and it wasn't easy to sleep (indeed I barely slept the first night). A little more honesty in the description in relation to the abject lack of parking in the nearby streets, spent a lot of time trying to find somewhere overnight each day. It was sufficiently a pain to us not rebooking this venue purely for that reason. The wooden surround of the bed base was above the height of the mattress when getting in and out and was quite uncomfortable and sometimes painful. The bed itself was comfy. Everything was great for the most part! -Location was just off the main street of Whitstable. -Even though it was at the rear of the hosts house, it was self contained/isolated.. -The path into the property (which was a back ally at the rear of houses) was pretty over grown and lots of weeds sticking out. It could do with running a strimmer back there from time to time. -The property had a few cobwebs in the corners which would have been nice to not have to deal with when we got there. But, not a big issue. Disposed of them quick enough. -The bed was a memory foam bed which I'm sure is fine for some people but me and my partner personally don't like them. Scott Greenbrook 18/05/2024Great location but be aware of £500 has to be paid held for at least 2 weeks!!!. Fantastic location just off the High Street. Small but perfectly formed with all you need for a short stay. Good size wet room / bathroom. Kitchenette well equipped for the size, single hot plate a bonus if you want to cook your own food.. Owners are lovley we met them but we were disappointed with the managing agents who bombarded us with emails from themselves and a third party vetting company that insist you read through pages of rules and requests you pay them a £500 deposit on top of what you have already paid booking.com or £40 non returnable premium to cover you for the damage waiver. I have never been asked for this before on any other bookings. I would advise paying the £40 because the third Party vetting company have very poor reviews on places like trust pilot where they don’t always return the £500 to your account as quickly as they should. They say they hang onto it for two weeks, Why they have to hang onto it for two weeks is anybody’s guess. Compact room with all everything required for a short stay.. A few things that could be improved at the location - After booking a non refundable amount is charged as a transaction fee (either £10 or £40 depending on the selected option) when confirming details to the property. Better if this can be mentioned beforehand - The property is self check & check out, so if you come in early or leave late & want to leave your luggage it can be a bit problematic - The property doesn’t have a full length mirror & doesn’t provide body wash + shampoo ...
