My quiet top floor apartment on the edge of Langland Golf Course close to the beautiful beaches of Langland and Caswell has recently been refurbished.
I have chosen to design the space to promote calmness in a clean and uncluttered space and have been lucky to have inherited some classic furniture from the 1960s, now described as mid century.
The living room has a large glazed area with views amongst the trees for you to relax and unwind in, while still enjoying many comforts of a modern home.
The apartment is in a prime location, a short walk from some amazing countryside and coastal bays like the beautiful beaches of Caswell and Langland, and the historic and creative village of Mumbles with a varied range of independent shops, art galleries, cafes, restaurants, bars and pubs. It’s worth exploring the Norman Oystermouth Castle and the quaint fishing cottages around Village Lane.
After exploring the many different delights that the Gower and Mumbles have to offer, you can relax in my comfortable and beautiful retro style apartment.
Living room – The living room is furnished with original mid century design classics, including two classic sofas to relax on and a dining area with four chairs to enjoy your evening meals on.
There is no television so hopefully you can enjoy reflecting on your day.
Kitchen – The kitchen is well equipped with high end appliances including a 4 zone induction hob, oven, fridge-freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, kettle, toaster and microwave. A good range of kitchen crockery & cooking equipment are provided. There is small kitchen table with chairs. On arrival you will be welcomed with Coffee, Tea, Milk, Sugar and Biscuits.
Bathroom – The bathroom has recently been renovated with a double sized shower area with a comfortable thermostatic shower. Toiletries are provided.
Bedroom – The bedroom is furnished with a double bed with pocket sprung orthopaedic mattress with fresh hotel standard linen, with both a Bath and Hand Towel for each guest. There is a single wardrobe with hanging space and pull out wire racks. Additional storage is provided in the chest of drawers.
Outside – The apartment block was built in the late 1970s on the site of a Victorian mansion with extensive grounds. There’s grounds are free for you to use and enjoy. From the bottom of the grounds there is a small gate which allows access from the private grounds of the apartment, across the golf course to Langland Bay, Caswell Bay and the start of some lovely coastal walks.
To the west you can follow the cliff path to the very quiet Brandy Cove beach with its smuggling associations or to Pwlldu beach steeped in history from Limestone quarrying industries.
To the east the cliff path extends from Langland Bay to Rotherslade on towards Limeslade (Fortes Ice Cream parlour is worth a visit) down to Mumbles Pier and ending up in the village of Oystermouth (commonly known as Mumbles)
My home is set up to offer remote access with easy self check in meaning that no direct contact with anyone is needed.
We also offer 24/7 guest support should you need any assistance during your stay.
You will have access to the whole home with easy self check in.
We have free WiFi in the property however it is a Mobile MiFi.
We don’t have a TV at the property.
Parking
There is free parking on site in the non designated bays.
Neighbourhood highlights
Nottage Road: Fantastic local butchers (Woollacots) and general grocer selling a wide range of local produce
Southward Lane: Newsagent, general supplies and off licence
Langland Bay is only about an 8 minute walk away, with the award winning Langland Brasserie, Surfside Cafe and Langland Golf Course & Clubhouse.
Caswell Bay is about 12minutes walk which has a surf school and Surfside Cafe.
Newton Village is very close and Mumbles is about a mile away. A coastal path links Caswell Bay to Langland Bay and around to Mumbles via the little vibes of Limeslade and Bracelet.

During this process, you may choose between a refundable GBP 500 deposit (plus GBP 10 transaction fee currency equivalent) or purchase a non-refundable damage waiver of GBP 40 (currency equivalent) to cover potential damages during your stay.
Once the verification process is successfully completed, check-in information will be provided. If you opted in for a deposit, this will be refunded via credit/debit card after your stay, subject to an inspection of the property.

Brilliant location - perfect base for visiting Caswell and Langland Bay and coastal walks. Peaceful, lovely views and beautiful surroundings.. Only downside is the communal entrance and stairwell - which despite having no smoking signs smelt of smoke and was quite run-down. Didn't put me off though and will definitely stay here again next time I visit the Gower. ... Read full reviewClose
